Our History

Founded in 2012, Lo-Ellen Robotics consists of two dozen students who endeavor to spread STEM (science, technology, engineering, mathematics). Since its inception, the group has built 3 robots, competed in six FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) Regional Events, won the a regional event, the Rookie All Star Award, and the Entrepreneurship Award. Lo-Ellen Robotics has competed in two World Championships, one for each year since its inception.

Throughout the year, the team promotes STEM culture at local events such as Science North Canada Day, Engineering Week, FLL Regional, Go Eng Girl, and WISE Engineering Olympics. Lo-Ellen Robotics believes in inspiring young people to be tomorrow's science and technology leaders. Team alumnus have received scholarships, internships, and academic opportunities made possible by the robotics community.
